So, you wanna insert an image into your text. It’s ever so easy. First, type up your text:

Then, rasterize the text layer. (Layer >> Rasterize >> Layer). Next, we need to select the image we want to use. So open up your image (or if it part of the canvas you are working on, you can select it directly from there. I am just going to use part of my current layout at the time of this tutorial.

Then go to Edit >> Define Pattern.
Next, select the text using the magic wand tool. (Tip, you can select multiple portions if you hold down the shift key as you use the magic wand.)

Note: alternatively, you can right click the layer and select pattern overlay from the blending options instead of rasterizing the layer. It’s really up to you. It depends on what effects you want to apply. Sometimes rasterization is the way to go.
Then, Layer >> Layer Style >> Pattern Overlay and select your pattern you just made from the pattern menu. And there you have it. After adding a little bevel to define the edge of the text.

As you can see, the image isn’t defined very much. All this depends on what font you use and what kind of image and how much of it you define to be made into a pattern. But the basic concept is here.
